Here at BTSC once you have qualified with the 6129 Level 2 & 3, our own in-house careers centre will help you build your CV and will then circulate that with our huge range of associated companies spread right across the UK.

If you have already started your own business or are struggling to gain employment, you can still complete your NVQ. You do not have to be employed, you can complete jobs on friends or family bathrooms/kitchens/ boilers to aid you in completing your tasks. All of our trainers hold qualifications that allow you to achieve your NVQ with short visits during you Level 2 & 3. When you enrol for our Masters course everything you require is included from first registration, right through to ACS Gas, which includes Level 2 & 3 Technical Certificate, Level 2 & 3 NVQ, Unvented Hot Water Certificate, Water Regulations Certificate and your ACS Gas Certificate including all exams and portfolios. This also includes 12 NVQ visits, six at Level 2 and six at Level 3. If you require further visits there is a small cost of £75 per day.

To enrol for the NVQ plumbing certificate there are several different categories that you may fall into. The categories are as follows;

New candidates (No plumbing qualifications)

If you are new to the industry and you wish to take our Masters course, BTSC is able to take you from having no experience to becoming a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer and approved gas service and installation engineer, all with certificates from City & Guilds and NICEIC. We will train you to City & Guilds 6129 Level 2 & 3, 6089 Level 2 & 3, NICEIC Unvented Hot Water, Water Regulations, Energy Efficiency and ACS Gas. We will then place you with one of our associated companies followed by visits where our trainers will assess you on site once you have fully completed our course right up to module 11.

Existing plumbers (Holding the 6129 Level 2)

If you hold the full 6129 certification we can help. We can offer the Level 2 NVQ to you but we feel that our centre can offer so much more, so we have designed a specific course for that purpose. We will put you through your 6129 Level 3 and then coordinate visits for your 6089 NVQ level 2 & 3, training you to become once again a fully qualified plumbing & heating engineer.

Existing plumbers (Holding the 6129 Level 2 & 3)

We can offer the Level 2 & 3 NVQ, so we have designed a specific course for that purpose. We will put you through your 6089 NVQ level 2 & 3, once again certificating you as a fully qualified plumbing & heating engineer. Not forgetting that for the NVQ'S you do not have to be employed but you do need to be working in the industry.

Experienced student scheme (No qualifications)

This course has been designed specifically by our training staff at BTSC. This course is for those plumbers that have been working in the industry for 5 years or more, either as a 'plumbers mate' or have run there own business, but have no qualifications. In either case, before you can start our ESS course we would need to have documented proof that you have been working in the industry for 5 years or more. Again as you can see from the course programme below, we can take you right through to full qualifications in plumbing and gas.
